GAFSED RAISES DONATION FOR GEORGIA FIREFIGHTERS BURN FOUNDATION
During the GAFSED Annual Conference we were able to raise over $2400.00 which was donated to the Georgia Fire Fighters Burn Foundation. The monies were raised through the 2nd Annual Randy Carlisle Memorial Golf Tournament and a 50/50 raffle.
The GFBF mission: Founded in 1982 by a group of DeKalb area firefighters, the Georgia Firefighters Burn Foundation's (GFBF) goal is to help burn survivors in their journey of recovery as well as to prevent others from experiencing the traumatic event of a burn injury.
Our mission is to partner with the fire service and burn care community to provide fire safety and prevention education, support medical facilities and assist burn survivors in their recovery.
The GAFSED Board would like to thank everyone who sponsored, donated or played in the golf tournament, also a big thanks to the committee headed up by Josh Bennett, Cliff Bennett, Jeff Hall for making this donation possible.
